Services & Activities
Koh Phayam has nice, quiet, chilled long and wide beaches. You can choose between:
Ao Yai, also known as Long Beach with soft white sand
North Ao Khao Kwai - here you find us - is the northern part of Ao Khao Kwai (“Buffalo Bay”). In total it is about four kilometer long with two beaches separated by rocks. North Ao Khao Kwai is the longer part and a bit busier as well. The swimming is good at any time.
South Ao Khao Kwai is the smaller part of Ao Khao Kwai and it's totally different from its northern sibling. It is a very quiet beach with a powdery sand, but swimming is just possible for a couple of hours.
Ao Mook is located directly at the pier on the east coast and you can go swimming at any time
Ao Kwang Peeb, as well known as Monkey Beach, crowns at the northern tip of the island with a small and sheltered beach.
Ao Mae Mai is lining in the northern to central part of Phayam’s east coast. It is a a narrow beach that mostly disappears at high tide.
You can go for long walks or jogging at the beach, snorkeling or take a kayak to explore the island and the mangrove forest.
If you like it more relaxed, just stay at the beach, enjoy floating in the sea or have a boat trip.
Besides its natural beauty, Koh Phayam also offers a uniquely built temple. The main temple is set along the coast and its prayer round shaped sanctuary on the sea with a bridge connecting it to the shore. This kind of architecture is a very unusual in Thailand.
